Connect a family to their athlete

Follow one claim code from the coach’s roster to a family’s free account. See the same athlete connect, skip optional measurements and find the latest coach-recorded result.

Read the steps
  1. Copy the athlete’s claim code from your roster.
  2. Ask the family to sign in and choose “Have a claim code from your coach?” on Home.
  3. Enter the code and confirm the athlete. The first height and weight can wait.
  4. Open Progress to see the latest result. The coach’s roster now shows Claimed.

For coaches & club owners

We signed up before the club did

Your coaches already made their accounts and their teams, and only now is somebody setting up the club. That is the normal order — the club is created afterwards, each coach links the team they already have, and every roster, result and record comes with it.

Next step: ask whoever runs your club for the team join code — or create the club yourself if that is you.

1 min 22 sec

For coaches

A kid from another class shows up

Someone from another of your groups turns up at tonight's session. You can pull them in as a drop-in for today only — their score lands on their own record and your roster never changes.

Next step: next practice, use “Add athlete from another team”. For a team you don't coach, ask that coach for an invite code.

Messages: who can post where, and who sees it

A coach posts to their team, a director posts to the whole club, and a league post flows down to every family beneath it. You always post to a group, never to a person — there is no private messaging, and parents see everything.

Next step: post your first team update tonight — everyone on the roster sees it.

Coach's Focus: point the whole squad at the same few things

Star two or three things on your roster screen and every family sees them starred on their own Record screen. Attach them to a team message and they arrive as a tappable chip that ticks itself when a score lands.

Next step: open your roster, pick two or three assessments, and star them.

The free coach plan, honestly

You are told the Team plan is free and you would like to know the catch. There isn’t one, but there is a bar — and the app measures it from your own data. Miss it and nothing is taken away: your roster and your history stay yours.

Next step: open Coach Program from your team and see exactly where you stand.

Leagues & competitions

Ten guides for running a season in the app: the set-up, the schedule, the scores, the standings, certification day, the reports and the playoffs — plus the two a family actually opens. Every one is recorded in the real app against an invented league, so no real team, score or child appears. Running a league? The For Leagues page walks the season end to end.

For leagues

Set up your league

A season, then a division, then a region, then a team — each one hangs off the one above it. The payoff is the last step: the moment a team exists it has a claim code, and that code is how a coach gets in.

Next step: create your season, then send each coach the claim code on their team’s row.

39 sec

For coaches

Claim your team

Your league texted you eight characters. It binds your account to one team: its fixtures become yours, you submit its scores and you file its game-day reports. Confirming and finalizing stay with the league.

Next step: open Competitions, tap Claim a team, and enter the code your league gave you.

25 sec

For leagues

Import the schedule

Bring your LeagueApps or SportsEngine export as is, or paste the schedule in the columns it already prints. You see what it would change before it changes anything, a row it cannot read is reported with its line number rather than dropped, and an import never deletes. Paste the same schedule twice and nothing happens.

Next step: paste one week into Import fixtures and tap Preview — it writes nothing until you say so.

For coaches

Scores: submit, confirm, finalize

Three acts by two people. A claimed coach submits; league staff confirm and finalize, and only a finalized score counts in the standings. When it turns out to be wrong, a correction is a new row — the first score stays in the history and both are in the audit log.

Next step: submit your score after the next game; your league confirms and finalizes it.

Standings and tie-breaks

The region record seeds the region and the overall record never does. Your own tie-break chain runs in your own order — and where a step is a coin flip, the app names the teams, names the step and stops. It never quietly breaks a tie for you.

Next step: open Standings for your division and read the chain your league stored, top to bottom.

37 sec

The public standings page

One link a league can put in a group chat. Team names, the schedule and finalized scores for every division — never a person: no athletes, no rosters, no staff. The switch is the only thing the page checks, so turning it off closes it for everyone at once.

Next step: turn the public page on and send the link once, instead of texting screenshots.

35 sec

For leagues

Certification day

Every name starts as Pending. The program that certifies is one the league assigned from outside the team, residency is recorded as an outcome and never as an address, and the team’s own coach then affirms it. Weigh-ins are staff-only, and a photo needs a signed consent on file first.

Next step: assign every team a certifying program before your certification day.

1 min 21 sec

For coaches

The game-day report

File it from the fixture in about a minute. The restricted and playing-down lists are not typed — they come from your own certified roster, and you acknowledge having read them. First names only, signed by a named person.

Next step: open your next fixture in Results and tap Game-day report.

33 sec

For leagues

Playoffs: seed a bracket

The bracket is seeded from the standings by the rules you already stored — and the best thing it does is refuse. With two teams still tied on a coin flip it stops, names them, and asks you to record the outcome your league produced. Then it seeds.

Next step: record your league’s tie outcomes first, then seed the bracket once.

50 sec

For families

League standings, for families

Two questions, two views. Team view is your own team’s card — the next game with directions, and the season so far — plus a finder for any other team in the league. Standings view is the tables, by grade and region.

Next step: open League standings from Settings and start on your own team’s card.

Before you start

A few things you might be wondering

Can I try this with one group first?

Start with one team or class, add its athletes and record a first session. You can build out the rest of your program later. The setup guide shows the steps.

What is free, and what might cost money?

Creating a coach account and a family claiming an athlete do not require a card. Coach access beyond the initial Season Pass depends on the activity requirements or a paid plan. Family Pro is optional; a Program plan can cover families. See the current prices and free-plan video before choosing.

Do all the parents need to sign up before I begin?

You can build your roster and record results first. Each family then claims its athlete using the code you share. Family participation matters for the earned coach plan; the Coach Program screen shows the requirements.

Do I have to replace how we run practices?

Keep your coaching routine. Choose a manageable set of tests, record a baseline, then repeat the same tests later. Start small enough that recording fits your session.

What can I show a parent?

A family can claim its athlete’s record. You can also use a progress report to show earlier and later measurements. See the example report. Full history and other features depend on the family or program plan.

Can someone answer a question before I sign up?

Yes. Email us or book a fifteen-minute conversation. You can read every guide here without creating an account.
