Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice
My Athlete LLC · Last updated: September 23, 2026 · Organizational health data, role-based recipients, authorization and withdrawal clarified
This Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice describes how My Athlete LLC ("we", "our", or "the app") collects, uses, and shares information that may be considered Consumer Health Data under U.S. state consumer-health-privacy laws — including Washington's My Health My Data Act (MHMDA), Nevada's SB 370, Connecticut's health-data provisions, and similar laws — to the extent they apply to us. It supplements, and should be read together with, our Privacy Policy.
1. What Consumer Health Data We Collect
Consumer Health Data may include information linked or reasonably linkable to an athlete that relates to physical health or development. For our app this may include:
| Category | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Body measurements | Height, weight, BMI, growth tracking over time | Family-entered growth data; separate league certification weights may be entered by authorized league or program staff |
| Growth-velocity measurements | Standing height, sitting height (and box/stool height), and optional left/right foot length recorded over time via the optional Enhanced Growth Velocity feature; shoe size, if entered, is stored only as context and never used in calculations | Entered by a parent/guardian (optional, parent-controlled) |
| Demographic health context | Date of birth/age, biological sex (used for CDC growth references) | Entered by a parent/guardian, coach, or athlete (13+) |
| Performance & movement data | Assessment scores, performance metrics, cognitive-baseline (reaction-time) results and trends | Entered by a parent/guardian, coach, or athlete (13+) |
| Weekly wellness check-ins (if enabled) | Simple 1–5 self-reported ratings for sleep, energy, mood, and soreness; informational family notes, not medical records | Entered by a parent/guardian for their own athlete; shown back to the family only |
| Optional adult-height estimate inputs | Biological parents' heights and a timestamped opt-in consent record | Entered by a parent/guardian (optional, parent-controlled) |
| Voluntary information | Any injury or wellness details you choose to enter, and related support messages | Provided voluntarily by you |
| League weigh-ins and weight classes | Weight in pounds, weigh-in date and weight class used for a league's weight-based divisions | Recorded by authorized league or program staff under the league's certification process |
| Game-day health status | Names of athletes marked injured or sick, without detailed diagnoses | Entered by the team's coach on a game-day report |
| Eligibility and progress records | Assessment reports and eligibility information that may reveal physical or health-related status | Team coaches, program staff and league certification staff |
| Consent records | Timestamped, versioned records of the opt-ins above and of any withdrawal | Created when you make the choice |
2. How and Why We Use Consumer Health Data
We use Consumer Health Data only to:
- Provide and operate the app and its features you request
- Calculate growth percentiles, developmental guidance, progress tracking, and (if you opt in) an informational adult-height range estimate
- Display observed growth-velocity changes and annualized rates from the measurements a parent enters (if you opt in), for informational and educational purposes only
- Operate the authorized team, program and league features you request, including eligibility certification, weight-based divisions and game-day availability reports
- Provide service communications and support, including the reminder emails and push notifications you enable
- Ensure safety, security, and fraud prevention
- Comply with legal obligations and protect legal rights
We do NOT sell Consumer Health Data; use it for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising; use it to train AI/ML models (without your separate, explicit opt-in consent); or collect more of it than is necessary to provide the feature you asked for. Where required, we obtain valid consent from the individual or an authorized parent or guardian before collection and separately before sharing, unless the applicable law permits the specific processing necessary to provide a requested service. Merely entering someone else’s data or holding a claim code is not proof of that consent. Organizational staff must establish their authority before submitting records; this does not replace our own legal duties. We do not use geofencing or location tracking.
3. Who We Share Consumer Health Data With
We do not sell Consumer Health Data. Our service providers process information on our behalf under the applicable contractual instructions. They receive only what their role needs:
- Supabase — database & authentication hosting
- Cloudflare — website and video delivery (no personal data served with videos)
- Sentry — crash/error diagnostics (sensitive data filtered)
- PostHog — product analytics tied to a pseudonymous account ID and role only (no name, email, or athlete data)
- Resend — email delivery for service emails (a growth-reminder email may name the athlete and the action, never a measurement)
- Expo, Apple, and Google push services — relay the push notifications you enable; notification text passes through and is not retained for any other purpose
Who receives none of it: RevenueCat, Apple, and Google (subscriptions and sign-in), Stripe (Program Plan payments by organizations) and Meta (advertising measurement for adult account holders) receive no Consumer Health Data. Meta's measurement code never loads on any screen that shows or records growth, assessment, wellness, or cognitive information, so not even the address of such a screen is sent. We have no affiliates or subsidiaries and share no data with any.
Authorized team, program and league recipients
- Team coaches: authorized roster, assessment and team-relevant records. Family-only growth measurements, wellness check-ins and private notes are not opened to organizations.
- Program staff: their teams’ rosters, attendance, coach-sent progress reports and eligibility rows, according to role.
- League staff: competition eligibility, game-day reports, weigh-ins and the competition audit log.
- Assigned certifying programs: the eligibility rows assigned to them for certification. The opposing coach may read the eligible roster within a day of a scheduled game.
- Opposing team coaches: the two teams’ coaches can see their game-day report, including listed injury or sickness status. They do not receive family wellness records or league weights.
- League/program staff conducting weigh-ins: weight and weight class are restricted to authorized league or program staff; these values are not shown to families or coaches through that feature or included in public reports.
These are restricted organizational recipients, not merely our service providers. Sharing must follow the applicable authorization, separate consent where required, or another basis specifically permitted by the applicable consumer-health law. Ask the organization about its own handling of records, and contact us to question or withdraw My Athlete access.
The league-certification headshot uses separate written parental permission and is visible only to league staff. We do not extract facial geometry or use it for biometric identification. A photo is not automatically a health record; where its context makes it Consumer Health Data, this notice also applies.
The categories above describe recipients; they are not a claim that a generic policy names every actual recipient of your records. You may request the specific third parties and affiliates that received your Consumer Health Data, with contact information where required. We have no affiliates or subsidiaries.
4. Your Rights
Where these laws apply to you, you have the right to:
- Access / confirm: Confirm whether we are collecting your Consumer Health Data and access it.
- Withdraw consent: Withdraw consent for our collection or sharing of your Consumer Health Data.
- Delete: Request deletion of your Consumer Health Data, or delete it yourself in the app (individual entries, a whole feature's history, an athlete profile, or the entire account).
- Correct: Edit inaccurate measurements or scores in the app, or ask us to.
- Receive the list of recipients: Obtain the list of third parties and affiliates with whom we have shared your Consumer Health Data (Section 3).
- Appeal: If we deny a request, appeal by replying to our response; if you remain unsatisfied, contact your state Attorney General.
How to withdraw consent: turn off the optional feature (the adult-height estimate, Enhanced Growth Velocity, wellness check-ins, benchmark contribution) in the app, delete the entries or the athlete profile, or email us. Tell us which collection or sharing you want to stop. We stop the processing covered by your withdrawal, subject only to an applicable lawful exception; a family-feature toggle alone does not remove a league record held by the organization. We coordinate requests affecting those records and downstream recipients. Covered deletion includes processor and recipient copies and backups as applicable law requires. Any permitted backup delay is limited to that law’s deadline, not automatically our general backup window. We retain only the limited records needed to honor the withdrawal or a specific legal obligation.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
5. How to Exercise Your Rights
Email support@myathlete.team with "Consumer Health Data Request" in the subject line. Include your name, account email, and state of residence. We verify your identity (typically by confirming control of the account email) before responding, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and you may contact your state Attorney General.
